Welcome to my page... where I'm always right and no one can argue with me.

Today at work was pretty slow and quiet but I still didn't finish my timesheet and I was supposed to. Oops.

We had an incident with the toilet last night that could have been bad but it worked out OK. It got clogged from just a very little bit of toilet paper that I used to wipe down the sink after Rob shaved. So then I was worried there was something more wrong with it. Anyway, it was after midnight when it got stopped up and we didn't have a plunger and because Boston is such a great city, everything was closed because there are no longer any 24-hour grocery stores. Of course, there are in hicksville in Ohio. Anyway, so we had to wait till this morning and just hope we wouldn't have a bathroom emergency... when the grocery store opened at 7 I went and bought a plunger. Fortunately, that did it. I sure didn't want to have to call a plumber.

It was freezing today! In the forties. I broke out the winter parka. It was pretty windy too, which made it seem colder. We haven't turned the heat on yet, and it's probably pretty chilly in the house, but for now we're just bundling up a bit. It makes me think of my friend Sheilagh though and how she refuses to turn on the heat until she considers it officially winter or something. At her apartment in Watertown she used to sleep with two pairs of gloves on. Sheilagh, you're crazy!

I talked to our landlord today because I was worried that our clogged toilet might have backed up someone else's pipes and the couple downstairs from us just left for their honeymoon... I didn't want them to come back to a flooded apartment. But he said all the toilets were completely separate, so no problem. He also said that he was working on getting a completely new dryer because he doesn't think ours is fixable. Who knows exactly when but that was good news. I thought he was just going to forget about it (or pretend to).

We're watching Fear Factor and it's so gross. I so could never be on this show because I could never do the gross eating things. Tonight they had to eat cod sperm, cod egg sacs, and cod liver. No thanks. And the people on this show are always talking smack and stuff. It's hard to take. Why are we watching it? Because our other choice is to watch a show about the sniper in the D.C. area. Oh, wait, I guess our other choice is to not watch TV. Ha ha.  8:50:24 PM  permalink
