Welcome to my page... where I'm always right and no one can argue with me.

This morning Rob and I went over to Brighton early because we hadn't changed our voting registration yet and had to vote there. We had a little something at Starbucks, then voted, then Rob drove me to work, which was very nice of him considering the horrors of downtown traffic.

He spent the day at home working on cleaning up his resume and adding some stuff to it, and responding to emails, etc. from his references. I had a pretty busy day at work... I had to leave in the middle of the day for a doctor's appointment, which was a big fiasco because it was across town in the Longwood medical area, which is a pain to get to from my work because it's on the green line, etc. Anyway, my new doctor is really nice so that was good.

Of course, when I got back to work there was a big panic about something stupid, as usual. Everyone thinks everything is an emergency and if I'm not there they somehow decide it's worse. They are big babies sometimes.

There are 3 things I want to complain about from my travels today:

1. People shoving onto the train before anyone gets off. I'm not talking about people sort of being in the way, or starting to get on because there's only one more person getting off, etc. I'm talking about the second the doors open, a huge crowd of people shoving onto the train like they have no idea that people want to get off.
2. Two total jackass guys almost knocked me over in the train station because they were bolting through the place like their life depended on it. And do you know where they were running to? To one door further down on the train. Idiots.
3. People suddenly forgetting how to stand in line. Walking through South Station I stopped at the newstand to buy some gum. At that exact instant about 50 other people decided to go to the newstand. But did any of them stand in line? No. They just milled around at the counter like we were in Germany or something. It just about drove me to violence.

Anyway, We are falling asleep in front of the TV. I don't know what's wrong with us! I think maybe we shouldn't eat a big dinner at night... we need to eat a big meal at lunchtime and have something small and light at night. A big meal makes us fall asleep!

Goodnight everybody.  10:37:23 PM  permalink
