Well, this morning Rob and I each had our dentist appointment, at the dentist's office recommended by Amy, and both went great. Surprisingly (not), the idiotic Gentle Dental office sent the wrong records for Rob, or else didn't send them at all (this office had my records and records for a Robert Reed with dentures and totally screwed up teeth, but not Rob's correct records) so that was great. But it didn't turn out to matter because when this dentist examined Rob's teeth not only did he say he would never remove his wisdom teeth because he had plenty of space for them and they were perfectly fine, and removing them would only cause problems, but also - he had no cavities! Nice, considering "Gentle" Dental claimed he had 2 that would need filling and 2 other spots that "might develop into" cavities. Unbelievable! Gentle Dental my ass. More like Butchers-Are-Us. Nobody go there! The dentist also looked at my teeth and commented that they were perfect, great, wonderful, etc., no problems. We were so happy we were beside ourselves after our stupid episode at the last place. And it's a nice family practice too, not some scammy rip-off artist place. I can't recommend them highly enough. Anyone in the metro Boston area that needs a dentist, you should definitely go to this office. There are several practicing dentists here, the one we see is Dr. Peter Capodilupo Jr. There is also a Dr. P. Capodilupo Sr. and a couple of others not related. Amen.

Holy crap! I thought we were getting bonus checks tomorrow but I just found out we're getting them today! Tom Payette has mine now but he's in his office with someone with the door shut. I'm all anxious! Since the bonus is not only tied to my own performance but also how the firm has done this year, I'm not sure whether I should be worried that it might be low or not... there was talk that we weren't doing fantastic a few months ago, and we had a couple of small lay-offs, but lately it sounds like things are looking up so I don't know. At least I will know today - that's one day sooner than I thought!

So it's much later now... I got my bonus check which was very exciting. It was really about the same as last year. I think that's fine because I think we made less money than last year so if I got a bonus that's the same it means I'm getting more compared to the overall profit than last year. Or at least it's the same. Anyway, I'm not complaining.

I hate having glasses. Well, I hate putting in and taking out contacts more I guess. But glasses are a pain because I can never keep mine clean enough to satisfy me. There is always some little smudge on them. Even though I have a little cleaning cloth I keep with them and I clean them constantly. So annoying.

So tonight we are catching up on our TV. We're watching stuff we have Tivo'd from yesterday. We watched the season finale of Amazing Race. It was upsetting because Flo and Zach won. On the one hand, we definitely think Zach deserved to win after the hell Flo put him through. But on the other hand, we didn't want her to win squat. It was quite a problem. She was very hard to take, this episode especially. She almost forced them to quit the race at the end, and then they win. She was so whiney the whole time. She was the pathetic whiney girl the whole time. She was always saying things like, "I can't do this, Zach, you do it." It's awful to watch.

Billy is also being very annoying tonight. It's driving me nuts. Rob got mad at me for being mad at the dog. I'm only mad at the dog because he's the worst behaved dog I've ever seen! If we are eating he cries and barks loudly the whole time. It's so unacceptable! Not my fault that his parents raised him to be the most spoiled dog ever in the history of dogdom. It's going to be quite a scene when he meets my parents' dog, Casey.

Oh, I almost forgot - I got my money back in my bank account! That's lots sooner than they said. I got a letter in the mail saying something about how it might take until March 13 2003 to fully resolve it but in the meantime I'd have "full use" of the money. I'm going to have to call them and see exactly what that means. Should I just forget about it? Or do I have to worry that one day the money will just be missing from my account again? Weird. But anyway, I'm sure glad I have it back.  12:12:57 AM
