Just a quick report on the weekend. Saturday Rob and I had a pretty fun day. We decided to let ourselves not stress out about stuff for the day, so we didn't run around cleaning or anything. We got up late and went to Harvard Square for breakfast. We sat in The Coop and had muffins and coffee and went over out "to-do" list on the computer. We actually ended up walking from Harvard Square to Central Square and then decided that we'd like to live around there, and then walked to Kendall. We ate Au Bon Pain there for lunch (it was like 2pm). Then we took the train home. That night we stayed in and watched the NCAA men's basketball games.
Sunday we got up early and I made breakfast - the pancakes turned out badly so I am going to get better recipes from Amy and Annette. At 1pm I met Amy to have a knitting session - she is teaching me. This was our first knitting date. We went to Wal-Mart where you can get cheap yarn that actually turns out to be pretty nice. And there's a decent selection. So I bought a few kinds and have planned some projects. We went back to Amy and Annette's and had sandwiches. Amy then showed me how to cast on and how to knit a basic stitch. Now I'm making a scarf which is very simple. I'm pretty psyched. Amy and Annette have made a ton of really nice stuff and I want to learn more. Of course, nobody knows where I'll find the time, but it's really great. Amy showed me the 2 sweaters she's made and I really liked both of them. I'm all jealous. So I'll work on it and maybe by Christmas time I'll have some nice handmade sweaters for people!
Goodnight.
