I forgot, I wanted to complain about the irony of people putting the American flag everywhere. Actually, I'm not sure it qualifies as actual irony, but it's ridiculous at the least. Here is why.
Here you can find some rules for how you are supposed to treat and display the American Flag. Please note that you are not supposed to display it at night unless it is illuminated, you are not supposed to have it outside in inclement weather, when it's tattered you're supposed to take it down and destroy it in a dignified way, preferably by burning it.
So, I'd like to point out that all the idiots driving around with tattered flags dragging off their car antennas or windows or hanging in the back of their pickup trucks are breaking basically all of the rules. So way to go, brave patriots.
