This is pretty funny. One of my friends from work sent it to me today. It's supposedly from a front yard somewhere in Maine.
Also, I have a couple of things to talk about...
When will people understand that it is not helpful to me, as a pedestrian, for you, as a car driver, to stop when you shouldn't and usher me to cross the street against the light? This means I am jaywalking and you are holding up traffic. What is it that possesses people to do this? I can't stand it. Coming back from lunch I was waiting at a crosswalk for the light to change and a car making a turn stopped when he had the right of way and ushered me to go. I gestured that he should go. But he didn't. Instead, he just sat there waiting for me to cross against the light and being in everyone's way. I didn't ask for you to hold up traffic so please don't. If you are someone who does this, please, in the name of all that is decent and holy - don't ever do it again. I beg you.
Also, at lunch today Rob and I decided that I should get paid more at work because they're not just getting Jenn Martinelli, administrative dynamo, they're also getting Rob's IT experience because I always call/email him and pester him about problems I run into at work. They should at least double my salary, if not triple. I would guess I'm more likely to win the lottery.
It is very late and way past bedtime, but we had to run over to Brighton tonight for Rob's part-time consulting work, and then we had dinner afterwards and we still had a lot of stuff to get done tonight, including finishing up burning some DVDs of TV shows for Heather, which we're sending tomorrow. Now Rob's taking a shower, I'm posting this, and then we're going to sleep - hallelujah. Also, check out my "buy me cool stuff" link at right. Most of the page links aren't working anymore, so I'm updating it right now.
