By the way, I'm very upset by Mayor Thomas Menino. First of all, he's an idiot overall. But that's another story. He keeps pushing (in ads on tv and the radio, etc.) that he really wants city businesses to provide summer jobs for teenagers. He goes on about how he knows times are tough but kids really need the jobs or something. Screw the kids! Grown-ups need jobs! If it's a choice between 3 kids having a summer job and me having a full-time one, I should win! What an idiot. Why don't you show more concern for people who actually have to provide a living. Also, I'm sure any teenager with an unemployed parent would agree. This guy is an embarrassment.

By the way, though we are very happy to have an air conditioner, which we bought Tuesday night and put in our livingroom, it's a small one and it's not really enough to effectively cool the apartment. Though it does keep our electronics from overheating and breaking, and it makes it at least possible to sleep (in the livingroom). Anyway, if anyone wants to donate any money to us, we are now accepting money for the "air conditioning for Jenn and Rob" fund. We can get a small one which fits in our tiny windows for about $120.
