What the FUCK is wrong with the stupid T? I don't live in the middle ages, I demand air conditioning. It's 90-something degrees out and outside it's miserable enough. Then I have to wait too long for the orange line because the orange line sucks. And where do I get to wait for it? In the hot as hell subway station. It's easily 20 degrees hotter there than it is above ground. Why the hell can we have things like the internet, cell phones, 100-story buildings and satellite TV, but we can't fucking air condition the train stations in a major city in the year 2003? I find it horribly unacceptable and that's just the tip of the iceberg as far as the stupid public transit in this city is concerned. Maybe Rob will elaborate further. He was coming up with some real zingers on the way home tonight.
By the way, we went to see Open Range tonight, kind of for no particular reason except we desperately wanted not to sit around our crappy apartment all night. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Fortunately, it was no Waterworld at least.
