Peta sucks. Let me repeat: Peta sucks! Again, there are reasons I shouldn't watch the news... local or any other sort. Also, Californians, I'm sorry, but you really don't have a right to act surprised anymore. It's not a secret that your state is falling apart - literally. For God's sake, look at who you just voted in as your governor. You do realize that just because you have Hollywood in you, it doesn't mean you have to elect only actors as your politicians, right?

Oh, I'm posting like crazy today. It's because I have the horrible local news on again. I don't know why I do it to myself. Apparently there has been a big push to protect kids "as they were promised" from sexual predators. What's this big step, you may ask? The big step is that they distribute safety posters! Not only that, they got calls from schools for weeks asking for more posters! And, not only that, but a principal wasn't aware of the law, but once he found out about the law he distributed the posters! Listen, buddy, I'm pretty sure it's your job to be familiar with education-related laws if you're a school principal.
Also, the poster is a list with another sub-list under it and it's aimed at elementary aged kids. But don't worry, they put some stars on the poster and made it in pretty colors.

Holy crap... can it be that I actually have to agree with Mayor Menino? I have to hand it to him on this one and say HALLELUJAH.
But I do wish he wouldn't give people the 48-hour leeway. I'm just happy someone officially said it's not allowed.

I would like the world to tell me why my boyfriend doesn't have a gig writing children's stories or movie reviews or something. In fact, I think the world should just give him a salary for being himself. Any day now, please.
