I have a new site. It will look very much the same but will be different in how it works. Go see it here! Eventually this domain (www.jennmartinelli.net) will redirect there but I wanted to have a short transition period. Maybe just a couple of days.

Holy crap I have a lot of knitting sites I wanted to link to. But a lot of stuff is going on with my page right now so I'm just going to throw them up on a separate story page, "Knitting Sites".

Hat Project

Here is the first thing I've made that's cabled! I have to post pictures but we got our camera back recently from being repaired and now we have misplaced our memory cards. Oh we're pathetic. We have a low-res camera in our palm device but it doesn't take the greatest photos. Maybe for now I'll try to at least post some of those. I made my first cable-knit project! A hat.

I'm getting really obsessive about this. I'm supposed to be making baby hats to sell. I can't finish one thing before I want to start another. I have like 8 projects going on right now. I have an orange silk scarf, knit on size 3 needles, for an adult, that is about 5 inches done. I have a rose-y chenille baby hat, also knit, that is about 1/3 done. I have a blue tweed crochet baby hat that is about 1/2 done. Last night I started knitting a pink baby hat. I also have a blue adult hat about 1/4 done and a blue scarf (adult) about 1/10 done. That one I'm doing on a 36" circular needle that I mistakenly bought when I was trying to get a 10" one to make hats. I also have never finished my starting project, a blue scarf, knit on size 10 needles. And I have another scarf started on varegated blue/green yarn on size 13 needles. Do you think that's enough? Because I think I might be forgetting one or two. Really, it's abnormal. Also, I want to make sweaters now. And I can't stop whipping out the crochet hats. I need to get some more Wendy Unique pink wool to make Heather's pink hat longer. It doesn't cover her ears. Which is bizarre because it covers mine and I have a huge melon head. I guess she has a bigger head than me. Scary. Or else maybe her ears just sit lower.

So this is supposed to be a separate section where I can post about my projects so the general weblog readers don't have to be tortured by it. I'll try to start updating soon.

Hey, I sold my first thing... for almost nothing... a baby hat went on eBay for $5. But I made it from some scrap yarn for Heather's hat and scarf so I guess it's OK. I'd better sell them for more in the future.
