Fish Wars, or Cosmology on the back of a Civic. [ via Larkfarm ] On the proliferation of various factions of fish on our cars.
Today, on automobiles all over America, the Fish Wars are raging. On a typical day an early morning commute can turn into a near-religious holy war as Jesus Fish cuts off Darwin Fish, Darwin Fish evolves to make the exit ahead of Jesus Fish, Jesus Fish invokes divine intervention to prevent Darwin Fish from finding the last parking spot. It's a never ending battle and Americans are joining the fray and choosing sides at unprecendented rates. [More Like This WebLog]

Just to let you know, we often are less than favourable in our remarks about Microsoft. We are also quick to pass on problems with their software. Well just so we're fair, I've downloaded Microsoft's OS X 30 day trial for Office. Install was very smooth, after an hour and 17 minute download of 120+meg of the program. I'll keep you updated on how it works. So far I'm using Entourage for the mail and I like the update from OS 9.

MacNews By John H. Farr
There's a long thread of over 100 messages at Apple Discusssions about
owners of various Macs experiencing mysterious dropped Internet
connections. All cases appear to involve AirPort Base Stations and recent
Jaguar (Mac OS X 10.2) installations.

SpecialReport By John H. Farr
By now most of you have heard that Microsoft was caught running a fake
"switch" ad on the Internet. What's hard to get past, however, is the
fact that they resorted to such outright imitation and insincerity in the
first place.

Good for Carol. Someone with the courage to speak out about all the crap that the candidates are filling the T.V. commercial time with. Has anyone done a study to see if Pay Per View, (PPV) or Blockbuster rentals increase during an election year, as we don't want to watch any of the mudslinging or finger pointing that the candidate spots seem to be so filled with.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
"I don't listen to any of them. Nobody has anything good to say."
CAROL EDBLOM,of South Dakota, where the two Senate candidates have run 21,000 TV commercials this year.

Woke up this a.m. with no hot water for a shower. Bummer....then the hot water came back. Must have been the trip to the 10th floor that took it so long. Fear not, we're all showered and clean.
