Whoa! Novell has purchased Ximian. Since Ximian is the home of the Mono project, that puts Novell in the cross-platform CLR business. Very very interesting. Imagine a future where you write a C# application using an IDE from Borland, deploy it on Linux, and use LDAP and other enterprise services implemented by Novell on top of Linux. Who said competition in the software industry was dead? [Larkware] Whoa indeed!
