A picture named nicoshow.jpgNow this fits with the 'Festive Season'. Nico and the Velvets, I'll be your mirror [MP3 - 3rd from top]. Photo from The Velvet Underground and Nico.

Mhmm - there's Lou on the left. But is he playing his Gretsch Country Gentleman or is this some different kind of guitar? How strange. I still want a Fender Jaguar though.

A picture named franken.jpgThe Cartoonist Recommends: Al Franken, Liars. Fabulous book, a Christmas present from my son. Better than Moore.

Al Franken, one of America's savviest satirists has studied the rhetoric of the Right. He has listened to their cries of "slander", "bias" and even "treason". He's even watched Fox News. A lot. And in this "fair and balanced report", he bravely exposes them all for what they are: liars.

A picture named lomond-lifting.jpgThe Scotland Diary. Armin Grewe has completed his Scotland Winter 2003 Travelogue and some of the pictures he took are breathtaking. If I'm getting enough freelance work next year, I'll definitely drive up there for a week or two.
