Can't help it - I like stuff like that.TheShipsList website was first established in August 1999, to help those seeking the details of their ancestors' ships; passenger records; contemporary immigration reports; newspaper records; ship wreck information; ship pictures &c. We quickly outgrew our "personal" webspace and so registered our own domain in May 2000. Since then we have grown to about 1000 totally free access web-pages [...] I actually found the URL in the 'Sources and Acknowledgements' section of Joseph O'Connor's novel Star of the Sea, a highly recommendable book.
