[Scripting News] Steve Ballmer acknowledges the value argument Linux brings, especially to large enterprises. It seems to me that any organization large enough to fret over a) the increasing cost to MS and Oracle and b) worried about security should be testing and piloting various Linux configurations. Folks seem to be reverting to the sins of their fathers "Buy anything as long as it is Blue". Come on, where's basic negotiating 101 -- get the competitors proposal on the table when MS is in the room. Start trying the Linux stuff... The worst that can happen is the you get better pricing from you know who... |

Bumps and bruises on the learning curveSpent too much time learning how to do the links in a decent fashion on the right hand side of the page. Thanks to the notes by Jake Savin, I learned to use the blogroll macro from Radio. I think part of my problem is that I am trying to use Radio by forcing it to adopt to my thought process/organization preferences.
