Echo...

Blog Debate on Iraq War Takes Shape. One of the big problems in the weblog community is the echo-chamber effect, where like-minded bloggers link to each other... [Dan Gillmor's eJournal]

I am trying to decide how that is different from any other social setting for conversation -- we tend to hang out with those that have similar opinions/likes/dislikes.  Course, a healthy debate should be "sought" and that requires meeting different folks to have such thought provoking conversations.

Checking out alterego's site, I clicked on Blogresearch and looked at their proposal to NSF for funding for "micro-content" research.  Very interesting...

Safire writes on House/Senate agreement to put the muzzle on Poindexter's attempts to "know all" about you.  While happy about this outcome, he warns of new dangers coming from Patriot II (and you thought the Halloween movies were bad)...
