Dave Winer writes about a national blog network for the next two election cycles that would allow candidates of all flavors access to a means to communicate their message, build their communities and otherwise participate in a process that the current system prevents many from joining.  He also mentions a $10 million budget -- he didn't release details -- but what if a bunch of folks provide access to software/servers gratis -- I'll pitch in a Manila site license with access that could service  at least half of Georgia or Alabama or pick your region.  The really neat part will be building the directories for all such blogs, creating the aggregator net, and marketing the sites...

Anyway, I like Dave's idea.
