Parents control schools

Department of Justice is backing a plan in New York to replace school boards with parent councils.  Now, that is an idea whose time has come.  Eliminate the bureaucracy, spend that money on the schools, get the parents involved with immediate satisfaction that they do have a voice.

Think about it – what purpose do school boards really serve today?

While we are redesigning this school governance thing, why do we need a principal?  Let the coach handle discipline and assign a senior teacher instructional leadership responsibilities.
