Echo...

Blog Debate on Iraq War Takes Shape. One of the big problems in the weblog community is the echo-chamber effect, where like-minded bloggers link to each other... [Dan Gillmor's eJournal]

I am trying to decide how that is different from any other social setting for conversation -- we tend to hang out with those that have similar opinions/likes/dislikes.  Course, a healthy debate should be "sought" and that requires meeting different folks to have such thought provoking conversations.

Marc Barot's activeRenderer for Radio now has a new site.  It also includes the ability to render Flash and Quicktime inclusions (I haven't figured out what that means yet).  If you want an active "outline" style directory on your weblog, this tool is the way to do it. [John Robb's Radio Weblog]

Meanwhile, buy the magazine.

The latest Linux Journal has a long piece on blogs by David Sifry and myself. Emmanuel Décarie reviews it here (he likes it, generally) and laments that it's not up on the Web yet. True: we expose some of our current content on the Linux Journal Web site, but not all. The piece will be up soon enough; and I'll point to it when it is.
