Hmmm... Home Secrets?Record the Lens That Records You. A poly sci professor wants shoppers to photograph mall surveillance cameras that photograph them. The point is to dramatize how vulnerable we've become to prying eyes. By Patrick Di Justo. [Wired News] I attended a conference at Yale (egads) almost 20 years ago where a colleague from England told us a story of how he and his professor were arrested for the act of driving through the countryside and marking on a map the location of local phone switching stations which also had a satellite dish nearby. Turns out the satellite dishes were property of our NSA -- that is how they intercepted phone calls in Europe. Publication of the map was a violation of the British Home Secrets Act.
