AudBlog -- audio blogging from any phone. (via BoingBoing)
[via Werblog]

Interesting to see more examples of media-enabled blogging.  Last year I hacked together a very simple AudioBlogger tool that used Flash and Flash Communication Server.  The advantage of my earlier approach is that the content is embedded into your page for playback (because of a small Flash component in the page), it is entirely streaming-based (upload and download), and also could be recorded from any PC with a microphone.  The downside was that you couldn't record from the phone, and you couldn't download the finished audio file (it's tied up on the server).

I can see advantages to both PC and phone-based recording.  A lot of blogging is deliberative and done at your PC.  Seems like a combination of picture/camera-based moblogging and phone-based voice recording would go together pretty well, enabling more composite media sharing in a mobile context.
