What is going on
I find it interesting that the news seems to be getting gradually worse. Whether its the Germans turning against the U.S. or companies turning against their own employees, things aren't going too well. It is odd, because my company is a startup software company, and business is going surprisingly well from a customer acquisition standpoint. We've been able to attract large companies, many of the same that are announcing mass layoffs, to invest in our technology.
I'm not sure why this gap exists between perception and reality. It is sort of like the consumer spending continuing strong earlier this year despite the economic downturn. It all seems to be building up to something - maybe a U.S. campaign against Iraq. At least I'd like to think that there is something at the end of all of this - to end all of this.
