I found a whole bunch of wi-fi related articles on BBC News today: It seems that Nokia believes everyone who uses an un-secured wireless access point is a thief. Perhaps yes, perhaps no. I can see both sides of the argument, but I think it should be a question of intent. Is it really such a bad thing if someone is just trying to check their email? The wi-fi "trend" may be similar to another hot-spot-based wireless service once available in England, but I hope not. Warchalking may have been a better idea if Matt had just kept his mouth shut, or at least not posted it on a web site. An early article about warchalking in general. 11:33:21 PM |
