We each have certain behaviors that are so insidious that, despite our attempts to eradicate them over time, rear there ugly heads time and time again. They must be genetically influenced in some way.
For example, as I disrobe I like to toss my garments somewhere beside, or at the foot of, the bed. There they sit for days, until it's laundry time. I correct this behavior whenever I become consciously aware of it. When corrected, it will remain so for months or years. Then one day I look at the floor next to my side of the bed and see a pile of discarded clothes. "When did I start doing that again?" So it has been since I was in my teens.
