To Be Powerpoint, Or Not To Be Powerpoint?.

The PowerPoint Anthology of Literature

"Too busy for Cliff's Notes? Welcome to The PowerPoint Anthology of Literature: Great books distilled to their essence and presented in the most efficient form of communication ever devised." [via MetaFilter]

If only I could show this to Kate while she was drinking something.... Another classic.

Powerpoint, as it is generally used today, is just plain annoying.  These guys have captured the awfulness of the typical Powerpoint presentation's design, applying it to some of the best in English literature.

SI For Women Folding; Women's Pro Sports Tanking?. Plastic::Media::Sports: "But even though they published their own swimsuit issue, it was ultimately lack of interest and sluggish ad revenue has led Time Inc. officials to announce that the December issue of SI4W will be its last. Seredipity alert: I had never heard of this magazine before, and five minutes before reading this post I saw a comercial for it.

And now it's going away?  odd.

What's Really New in Wireless?. The Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association tradeshow offered some surprises, like a Bluetooth-enabled headset for cell phones. Also: Christina Aguilera faceplates and Worldwide GPRS roaming with Deutsche Telekom. Elisa Batista reports from Las Vegas. [Wired News]

Personally, I don't consider Christina Aguilera faceplates to be a forward step in wireless technology.

It's been busy the last few days.  The hardest thing about having kids is the fact that you can no longer plan time to get things done in your personal life.  Every plan you can make can be shattered at the whim of a small child's needs.  This is not a bad thing.  It simply means that spare time is a more precious comodity than it was when you were single and child-less.

I'm told by my friends who are also parents of older children that things eventually normalize again.  I certainly hope so.
