All Toyotas will be hybrids by 2012 Toyota has announced that they are moving all of their cars and light trucks to hybrid engine technology by 2012.  By increasing production, they hope to eliminate the current $3000 per unit cost of installing a hybrid engine.  Additionally, this will lower emissions (CO2 by 40%!) across their product line. This is a beautiful thing.  It also means that Toyota will be pushing the state-of-the-art in hybrid engine technology over the next few years.  I can't wait to see how they make a hybrid Tundra work.  That should be very spiffy. 11:12:30 AM
