Integrating MSN, AIM, Yahoo and Sametime with Reuters Messaging (based on Microsoft's LCS) is a good idea. An even better idea is enabling users of each of those systems to connect with users of each of the other systems. But the best idea is to enable users from any of those systems to jointly participate in a single session, a true cross-IM conversation. A third party would have to provide a common network and collaborative infrastructure.
