Life, code, life again...

Well, I haven't posted in a few days.  Been busy.  Very busy.

Karla's been in the hospital.  She's home now, and her recovery is going well.

I see my traffic has dropped a bunch.  Here are my thoughts on why:

1. There wasn't that much "traffic" in the first place.
2. I haven't posted new stuff for a while.  Been busy.  Oh, yeah, I said that already.
3. I removed my category links from the nav section.
4. I bore most people with the things I am interested in.

Aw, heck.  Who cares?  I originally set out to use this space to journal and to express myself.  I also wanted to use this space as a tool to preserve knowledge as I find it.  I guess I'll continue to do that.  Other than that, I'm not sure what the face of this weblog will look like in the near future.  I have reserved several domain names and I am debating about how to divide my content among them.  So my audience's (3 or 4 people, right?) attention will be both splintered into multiple places, but also focused around a central topic.  More potential, I think.

Well, this is still an experiment.  My family has told me that my grandfather journals every day (on paper of course) and has all of his journals since 1942, except one.  His backpack was stolen while he was a missionary to Brazil.  Or something like that.  He's got some neat stories.  I hope he has recorded some of that in his journals.
