I'm getting nowhere getting my Windows XP-based laptop connected to the Internet. The wireless connection is excellent, but it's not getting an IP address over DHCP, or so it says. When I look at the properties of the connection it sure seems to have a good IP address. Checking the status it's sent 78 packets but only received 1. When I try to "repair" the connection (not sure what that means) it churns for a minute and then says "Please contact your network administrator or ISP." Yeah I'm sure Verizon is going to be a lot of help. (Sorry for the sarcasm.) If you have an idea of what I should try next, post a comment here, please. [Scripting News]
