I found a new widget for web pages, a wysiwg editor written in JavaScript. It is called htmlarea and is an upgraded version of the one generally available for IE. It is provided for free by . The beta version adds most of the markup provisions of Textism in a wysiwyg format. It's biggest problem is that it produces code that fails a variety of xhtml tests because they use IE as their engine. It looks nice and is fast. With a little html fixup code it can easily generate good xhtml. I am going to testing it tomorrow. I am planning to modify my present Tikitext page and see what happens.
