Linux Gaining Ground In India [Slashdot]
....and in many other countries which number themselves in the second and third worlds. Makes sense. Have you installed RedHat 9 recently? Linux is getting real, folks.

Yep, you can't go home again. Why, because the you that was you back then ain't the you that you are right now. And neither is anyone else....
North Shore Cheese. OK. I grew up in the section of the Boston area known as the "North Shore." This has little to do with actual shore when it comes to my town - though we're not that far from the water, we don't border it. No - the distinguishing features of the North Shore are hair and accent. When I was in high school, the taller your bangs were, the better. Even many of my smarter female friends were spraying the things up so they stood half a foot taller than the tops of their heads. And the speech - whoa. Ever been to Revere? I din't groape theh, but wenda movie theadah buncha times. So I went to the mall in Peabody (that's peebidy, not peebody - not my hometown, but close) over the weekend. I swear, I was walking the fastest. And I had no products in my hair, and I was wearing Tevas without socks, and I looked altogether bzah - I mean, bizarre - next to my former neighbors. The bangs are no longer as high, but dude, they haven't let go of the Final Net. *sigh* The last stronghold of the 80's, that's my home. I practically ran through the mall (no one carries the damn thing I wanted anymore!) and out as fast as possible. Who ever would have thought I wouldn't be at home in the place where we always went on dates when I was 14? By redworecrimson@yahoo.com (The Redhead). [The Redhead Wore Crimson]
