Crony Capitalism '03. Donate to Bush, Get a War "More than 70 American companies and individuals have won up to $8 billion in contracts for work in postwar Iraq and Afghanistan over the last two years, according to a new study by the Center for Public Integrity. Those companies donated more money to the presidential campaigns of George W. Bush-a little over $500,000 -than to any other politician over the last dozen years, the Center found. If this seems bad, just wait until you read Molly Ivins' new book, Bushwhacked: Life in George W. Bush's America. All the Dems have to do is make this book their messaging bible for the campaign and I don't see how they could lose. Bush is by far the worst and most dangerous president we have had in our history preciselly because he believes what he says. At its heart, the Bush government is a cross between Italian-style fascism and Taliban-style religious zealotry. Please, folks - register to vote and do soemthing about this situation!
