A few months back I purchased a Motorola V60 phone to be cool and hip, and because I thought its small size and great belt clip would make it very convenient.
Boy was I wrong.
In the months leading up to my purchasing the V60, I hadn't been using my Panasonic ProMax much because it didn't have a decent belt clip and would fall out of my pocket all the time. I really needed a new phone that I could count on for instant, always there communication.
The minute I strapped the V60 on, I started having problems. Virtually every call I made or received resulted in a failure. If I called someone, most of the time I could count on the phone to say "Call Failed" when I hit the send button. When I was lucky enough to have a call go through, it was usually impossible to hear the person on the other end, and after a short while, the call would generally be dropped, too.
I took the phone back to my AT&T store, and they said it was probably a bad unit and ordered me a new one under warranty. Two weeks later, the new one arrived, and I switch to it. All the same problems existed. I think the new one was slighly better, but it basically was a piece of junk as well.
Things came to a head one day a couple of weeks ago when my daughter tried to call me five times to have me come pick her up at school. Each call was dropped. It was so frustrating!!! When my daughter gave up on me and called her mother, who was sitting right next to me in the parked car we were in, and the call came through loud and clear on her Panasonic Allure, I was convinced that the V60 was the problem for sure.
Later that day I walked into my AT&T store and demanded that they take the V60 back and give me another phone. I was furious! I didn't care how much it was going to cost me. I told them I would pay them to take the phone from me. I also told them that if they donated the V60 to one of those programs for women at risk, they would be putting lives in danger because it was such a piece of junk.
But AT&T came through! They were awesome!
The manager instantly replaced my V60 with a brand new Nokia 6360, and even threw in a free holder/belt clip! I walked away totally happy. Not only that, but the 6360 has been absolutely perfect from the minute I turned it on. Man, what a difference. It works 100% of the time and I can hear every conversation clearly. If I pick it up to make a call, it just works. If a call comes in, it just works. And the battery life is easily 200% better. I'm a Nokia man now. That's it. I'm going to get a Nokia tattoo very soon.
