Internet Explorer for OS 9 gets security update. Microsoft's Mac Business Unit has updated Internet Explorer for the Mac to version 5.1.7. The latest version of the Web browser resolves security vulnerabilities in previous versions of Internet Explorer 5. This version of IE is for Mac OS 8.1 - 9.2.2 and requires QuickTime 3.0 or later.
