Site Profile: FREE--Federal Resources for Educational Excellence This variegated compilation of resources is directed at students, teachers, and parents. FREE contains K-12, vocational education, and higher education resources available from U.S. government agencies; it is maintained by the U.S. Dept. of Education. The site is searchable and also browsable by subjects. A link to New Resources provides a quick view of the most recent additions to the database (http://www.ed.gov/free/subject.html). Recent additions include Middle English Texts, Papers of Jefferson Davis, and Colonial Planning in Savannah Georgia.I saw FREE reported in the Distance Educator Daily News (see http://www.distance-educator.com/dnews/?name=News&file=article&sid=8621).
