EduResources Weblog--Higher Education Resources Online
This weblog focuses on locating, evaluating, discussing, and providing guidelines to instructional resources for faculty and students in higher education. The emphasis is on free, shared, HE resources. Related topics and news (about commercial resources, K-12 resources, T&D resources, educational technology, digital libraries, distance learning, open source software, metadata standards, cognitive mapping, etc.) will also be discussed--along with occasional excursions into more distant miscellaneous topics in science, computing, and education. The EduResources Weblog operates in conjunction with a broader weblog called The Open Learner about using open knowledge resources across a diversity of subjects, levels, and interests for a wide range of learners and learning communities--students in schools and colleges, home schoolers, hobbyists, vocational learners, retirees, and others.

The University Channel is based at Princeton University; it provides "A collection of public affairs lectures, panels and events from academic institutions all over the world-- for you to view, listen to, stream or download." The Channel includes both a podcast feed and an RSS feed; the resources are organized by topic headings and a search tool is included. "The University Channel makes videos of academic lectures and events from all over the world available to the public.  It is a place where academics can air their ideas and present research in a full-length, uncut format.  Contributors with greater video production capabilities can submit original productions." Participating contributors currently include Harvard University, Rutgers University, UC Berkeley, USC, University of Pennsylvania, the Chicago Access Network, and others, but the Channel plans to broaden to include global contributors. This video repository is still under development but already includes some useful resources for self-study and course supplementation.
