EduResources Weblog--Higher Education Resources Online
This weblog focuses on locating, evaluating, discussing, and providing guidelines to instructional resources for faculty and students in higher education. The emphasis is on free, shared, HE resources. Related topics and news (about commercial resources, K-12 resources, T&D resources, educational technology, digital libraries, distance learning, open source software, metadata standards, cognitive mapping, etc.) will also be discussed--along with occasional excursions into more distant miscellaneous topics in science, computing, and education. The EduResources Weblog operates in conjunction with a broader weblog called The Open Learner about using open knowledge resources across a diversity of subjects, levels, and interests for a wide range of learners and learning communities--students in schools and colleges, home schoolers, hobbyists, vocational learners, retirees, and others.

The COHP "Resources for Teaching, Learning & Inspiration" displays an excellent selection of links to discipline-specific teaching and learning resources in the health professions. The disciplines covered are Dental Hygiene, Health Science, Communicative Sciences, Medical Technology, Nursing, Radiologic Sciences, and Respiratory Therapy. COHP also contains links to general medical resource sites. Additionally, the Educational Technology resource page provides links to Educational Technology Journals and Newsletters/Blogs. The COHP is part of Armstrong Atlantic State University, a member of the University System of Georgia. (Take a look at the AASU Faculty Development site when visiting COHP. ) I very much appreciate the way COHP and AASUFD combine links to local special-interest resources with links to general educational technology resources; that seems to me a model for the way institutions should construct their technology support services.  ____JH
