I knew when I came in through the video screen that I was entering another world--that was no problem for me.  But I wasn't prepared for this fog.  Perhaps I should try to find my way back out to the video screen, and not take this adventure at all.

But I am so tired.  I have been awake for 30 hours straight.  I bend down to see what the ground is like. It seems like a typical forest floor... strewn with evergreen needles, and the broad leaves of oak.  I lie down on the forest floor, and instantly I am deeply asleep.

In my dream, a woman comes to me. She is wearing a long tunic.  In her hands she has bread and fruit for me to eat.  She wraps me in a soft, downey blanket.  I hear birds singing, a strange kind of thing you would hear only in a dream.  The birds sing a complex tune, but they sing it all in unison, like a choir.  I can feel the hair stand up on my arm and my neck as I hear it. Their song goes on and on as I fade into the darkness of a long sleep in the dense fog.
