Can Someone Help?

The hand that came through the door looked like a human one. Its slim fingers slid along the door jamb, and looked to be gauging its size.  A voice on the other side said. “Aw, hell.”

The door was only Pigmet-sized, and it seemed as if a human being now wanted to get through it.  But he did not have the power to enlarge the door; none of them did except the one who made it, and he had gone back to sleep after briefly recognizing Geo.  Geo did not want to wake him now.

“Is somebody over there?” said the voice.  It appeared to be a male.  “Is Pigmet over there?”

Geo stared at the door.  “What do you know about Pigmet?” he said.

“Pigmet is my best friend.  I will give my life to rescue him!”

“He has not been kidnapped,” said Geo “But he appears to be very sick.  Who are you?  Maybe you can help us.”

The man slid down to the ground.  He slid his head and shoulders through the door. He was a young Asian man. “This is the biggest I’ve ever felt!” he said.  He looked at Geo holding Pigmet.  “What have you done to him!”

“I didn’t do anything to Pigmet.  He woke up… or, rather I woke up, and found him to be sick.  He has stirred only briefly.  Who are you?”

“My name is Kim-Liang.  Call me Larry.  I think I can fit through this door if I really squeeze it…”

“Don’t!” said Geo.  “Perhaps you can get some medicine for him over there.  He has a fever… probably an infection of some sort.”

“Yeah, okay,” Larry said.  He knelt there thinking for a moment. "My brother is a doctor.  He might still be here."
