Satyricon
Confidential - My friend Gordon Thomas has posted a heraldic composition
on the Satyricons of Petronius and Felleni. It is something of the Satyricon
of Gordon too, as he deftly posits Satyricon as it was to be encountered
in places like Ohio and Kansas in the 1960s. He calls it Satyricon Confidential,
and it is worth a visit.
But in the spirit of this mnemonic endeavor, I first offer my
Satyricon-related adventure. On Downer Ave., in old Milwaukee, again
it is summer, the evening, and the tickets are going on sale for the Wisconsin
premier of Fellini's Satyricon. Some might say: Dillinger Days Ever! What
could happen in the dark cinema or its near environs? More
