Analysis: Microsoft’s Rudder’s settings [August 25, 2004] - Microsoft seems to make steady advances beyond its desktop base in many businesses. This is not good news for other players in the software business who sell specialized software to do the ‘backroom’ computer work of mid-sized and large corporations. Obstacles to growth for Bill Gates and company are many and should not be downplayed. Yet, it appears that only IBM is dependably competitive with Microsoft now. Read analysis.
