The Batman of Africa

Quickly bending over a pop culture
Baking on the stove,
I notice generations trickle
On fibers from Hollywood bars.

A flick
Starring Clyde Beatty,
Taming and
Using Clyde
As an Outlander
Among the fabled Batmen of Africa.

Ordering orders with
Soundtrack fuzzed diction
And ordering others with the voice
Of a script girl on a trampoline.
Clyde can hold off lions But when he says:
You go I'll hold off the lions
I've got to laugh
The Batmen and the thirties
Harummph upon the animal tamer.
Beneath the U.S. Steel helmets,
That frequent their African heads,
The Batmen erode and fly away
Leaving blue muscles
That video hours jade.
They limousine through
An echoing palace
Waiting for time to succeed
With a final half nelson.

A whiplash of his future self
Clyde stalks about
With a pigment of the imagination
A feet do you duty negro.
A barking boy
The crazy batmen
They all fade out
As our Clyde
Stacks hands with
The goddess
Who they,
The descending batmen
Dare not harm.

Is it done yet?
Can't tell
The set is on the blink.
