Utah Rural Taxpayers Getting More For Their Money
The Utah Foundation's newly released study indicates that Utah's rural counties are doing very well in the return on their tax investment. Taxpayers in Sanpete, San Juan and Piute counties received $4 in services for every $1 they pay in taxes. Summit County on the other hand (home to Park City) received only 12 cents. Salt Lake and Davis Counties received about 80 cents.
Other interesting statistics: San Juan County spends $5333 per pupil annually in school spending. Summit spends only $1528. Daggett County spends nearly $9000 per student.comments or questions [] 11:50:34 AM
