David Eisler, vice president for academic affairs at Weber State University was one of the finalists for Nicholls State University in Louisiana. The School, part of the U. of Louisiana system will be switching from open admissions to admissions standards in 2005. Eisler demonstrated his ideas for recruiting quality students. He was one of three finalists, from a pool of 49 applicants. However, Stephen Thompson Hulbert, chancellor of University of Montana-Western was the final choice for the University.
