i was going to wait til i heard g's news but that could be some time.

saturday i filed for unemployment.  i wasnt going to.  it isnt a program that i agree with so i felt like it was something i shouldnt take advantage of.  but then i got to thinking about the timeline of my employment, how everything was handled, how i was hired, pretty much everything and i became bitter.  so knowing they'd be paying for it, i felt justified in filing a claim.  it'll be a few more weeks before i can file for a deferment for my student loan - i need to get further into the unemployment process.

i updated my resume.  it isnt great; certainly mediocre, but i figured it was better to be average than not at all.  i applied to about 18 jobs yesterday, the start of my hunt.  of course i'll continue to update and revamp, but i wanted to get started.  i blocked all things amerco from seeing my resume online.

i will not be posting on here where i end up.  if they in any way monitored my online activities, they know of here.  so i imagine they'd be interested to know if i went to a competitor.  i dont know how much they could do about it at that point (probably nothing), but i'm sure there would be interest.  so i'll probably just leave out where i end up.

this is the first time i've spent more than two consecutive days in my apt.  i never realized my bare walls were this annoying.  i will be doing something about that. my first task will be window treatments - i need draperies.    i'm not exactly the domestic type, so wish me luck!
