There still arent any new developments.  At least, none interesting but I am told I need to update so here goes...

My mom left.  I haven't heard from her since, but I think she's really sick.  I mentioned this to a few people so I don't feel like going into detail but from the things she'd repeatedly said and the decisions she is making, I think she is potentially really sick - like could die sick.  She didn't want to talk about it so I didn't press it.

I didn't get my unemployment checks so I called and found out I'd been disqualified because I didn't register with job services.  Before that I was told I was done and just to keep doing my weekly check-in.  So they said if i register within the next 15 days and let them know, they can review my case and decide whether I should be reinstated.  So that day I registered.  I stood in line at unemployment and there was a sign on the wall that job services was in the room next door.  But I didn't know if i needed any paperwork (I hadn't brought anything) or if there was anything I needed to do prior to going over there.  So I get to the front of the line and the fat lady with food stains on her shirt and her baby on her lap says "Well if you were smart and you could read you'd have seen the sign that says job services is over there and then you wouldn't have had to waste your time in this line."  "Thanks, bitch." and I walked away.  I didn't think it was a big deal but a bunch of people started laughing so I guess it was overheard.  I registered at job services, and they called me back to find jobs and interview and lo and behold, they had no jobs for me.  What a shocker.  So that was it - I left.  It was pretty much a waste of my time but I had to do it.  So I called unemployment to tell them and the lady I got was so polite - a total saint - and helped me out a lot.  So I wrote a letter of praise to the office about her.  It's reinstated now and I will get all the checks that were held in the meantime.

I want richie to come out here.

Oh and I found out if I renew my lease, I won't get a rent increase.  Except, I can't renew without a job.
