NYC Blogger Bash

A group of New York City bloggers will be getting together for a party at AZ on Friday, January 23rd at 7pm. I don't know if I'm going yet, but I'd be interested in meeting some of the people whose blogs I've been reading. According to the website, Michele of a small victory is planning to be there. I don't really know much about the others as I haven't followed their blogs very closely. Sounds like it could be some fun.

Blogtards

Geoffrey has come up with a new term for certain bloggers he's encountered:

blogtard: A weblogger who generally has no original opinion or commentary on their site. The vast majority of the content is cut and paste news sources, or a recap of someone else's opinion. As a result, they have trouble defending opinions that aren't truly their own. When bitchslapped, they act like your 3 year old niece after you take away her Better Crocker Kitchen before she's finished her tea party.

Could this lead to other variations? Blogtarded, blogtardation and so on? Oh damn! Have I just become a blogtard?
