Seattle's New Baseball Manager
Steve Kelly does a good and fair assessment of the new Mariner's coach, Bob Melvin. Knowing the management of the Mariners, it looks like they hired for intelectual horsepower and potential. The last person we needed here was a Dusty Baker or some other coach that is committed to themselves over the team. No one in this town begrudges Lou when he left because of his high integrity and his awesome commitment to the team during his tenure. Bob looks to have these similiar attributes, but I wonder if he can throw a base like Lou...

The annual visit from Taj Mahal comes every year during the Thanksgiving week. If you live here or plan to visit Seattle, this is a great place to have an intimate dinner with world class music.

The Market in Seattle
Today it is very windy, rainy and miserable all around in Seattle. We natives hope you all hate it and leave. We took the family out and went to the Pike Place Market for the day and bought amazing produce, seafood, shopped at Sur La Table for the kitchen and ate some awesome Italian cheeses and bread at the Pink Door.
