This statement demonstrates complete ignorance of the software value proposition. Stating that Open Source's value lies in it's relative cost to cost ratio is a dream of the lonely hobbiest. Software capabilty and value lies in what you can do with the software and it's optimizations for task. Currently the Windows operating system platform combined the software development tools of VS.NET provide a return on investment unmatched by anyone else.
