I have a consulting engagement that I am working on so I have slowed down my posting activity.   The engagement is a quantifying the value of a very large portal implementation for a Utility.   Meanwhile,  I read this in the Washington Post:

IT consulting firms seeing signs of life - Washington Post

After a prolonged slump, it now appears that a recovery of sorts is underway in the IT consulting industry. The signs, though, are tentative at best, as "corporate clients of consulting firms continue to keep a tight leash on spending." The brutal cost cutting of the past two years has produced consulting firms that are leaner and ready to respond to any signs of increased market demand. In fact, some IT consulting heavyweights (BearingPoint, Accenture) are already showing "signs of stabilization,
